Cari dropped her hand, shocked. The cold shoulder wasn't something she was used to getting. But she didn't get mad, either. Shrugging it off, she walked over to the boys and began to dust them off motherly, "You two ok? What happened?"

Rika walked quickly and started to head for her house. Renamon was at her heels. "I thought we wouldn't see another one of those again." she said, looking annoyed.

Davis stepped back, shoving his hands in his pockets as if he didn't need to be dusted off like a child, "Yeah, we're fine. Our diimon should be here soon, though. We can't afford to keep 'em away, even over summer vacation." He binked as Veemon tackled him, "They just came back from their vacation, Davis," he said, landing on his chest. "Why don't you welcome them?"

Rika walked in her house, instantly getting ambushede by her mother. "Where were you?" she asked. "Out." Rika replied. Renamon was still right behind her. '' I thought I heard something outside earlier." her mother siad. "I'm fine Mom. There wasn't anything." Rika said. She walked up into her room and took out her digivice.

Davis shoved Veemon off and stood up, shaking out his har, "That weird girl just up and left, without even a name!" He fumed. "That is so self-centered, not to menion rude."

Ken smiled and caught Cari's hands, "We're fine." He released her as Warmon appearedm jumping into Ken's arms, "Oh, Ken, why was that thing out here?" Ken sighed, smile fading, "It seems there's another person letting Digimon loose around Tokyo again." He turned to Davis, "That girl was a bit strange, but she had a powerful digimon. We should go see if we can find her in the digital world."

"Come on Renamon. We have to find out what's going on in the Digital world." Rika said, grabbing a backpack that had some food and other things in it. Her and Renamon walked downstairs. "You take care of her Renamon." Rika's mother said. "I will." the digimon replied. They walked down and started heading for the old tunnel.

Davis turned to the tunel on the other side of the highway, blinking as a shadow flickered inside it. He nudged Ken, "Look over there."

Rika and Renamon walked into the tunnel and Renamon tensed. "the humans from the street are here." she said, putting a paw on Rika's shoulder. "then let's get into the Digital world." Rika said, heading towards the part of the wall that led there.

Davis motioned for Veemon to follow him and he ducked after the strange girl, following her into the rift to the digital world.

Ken ran after Davis and stood at his side on the edge of the digital world, "Wow," he set Warmon down. "I haven't been here for awhile."

Rika stepped forward and put her hand in here pocket, it curling around her digivice. "What do you want?" she asked, not turning around. Renamon stepped beside her, her muscles tensing.

Davis hunched his shoulders, chin ducking down as his hands clenched into fists in his own pockets, "What's your name? And why'd you help us?"

"My name is Rika, and I helped because I wanted to. I don't have to explain myself to you.'' She said, turning swiftly. Her voice was harsh.

Ken glanced at Davis and walked over to her, touching her arm gently with a smile, "You don't have to. I came along to thank you; we relly appreciate your help back there."

"Don't mention it." Rika said, turning back to Renamon. "Come on, let's try to find who let out that stupid Candlemon." she said, starting to walk away.

Ken dropped his hand with a small sigh, talking to Davis without taking his eyes off her back, "Should we go back, Davis? Get the others, I mean?"

Ken sighed, taking a step back and turning on his heel, picking Warmon up, "I don't have very many good memories here. Maybe I should go..."

Cari let the boys go and went back to the van, riding the rest of the way home and unpacking before sending herself into the digtal world. She went alone with her digimon and wandered around a bit.

Davis shook his head, "She looks like she's up to something. I'm gonna go after her." He began walking, ars swinging at his sides and Veemon at his heels.

Rika scatched her neck, making sure to keep the others in her line of sight. Davis started walking. Renamon pushed her down and used her diamond storm. "Renamon. What the heck?" Rika said, before looking to her left. "Great, more of you." she muttered. There were six Candlemon.

Ken followed quickly after Davis, shouting for him to et down as a herd of candlemon rounded a corner. Both ducked for cover and Ken peered out from thier hiding place, over at a red ponytail sticknig up from a rock "Hey, that Rika girl is over there too!" He turned to Warmon, "Evolution time, my friend!"

Davis stood up, pointing at the hord of digimon, "Go on, Veemon!" Veemon nodded, jumping out and landing with a powerful thud on the dirt, "Digi Evolution!" Davis shouted, taking out his digivice and thrusting it upward. Veemon transformed into Devi Veemon ad began to fight the Candlemon while Davis turned to Ken, "Come on, Ken, we've gotta get outta here!"

Renamon use diamond storm as one of the Candlemon attacked Rika. The fireball hit her dead on and she was unconsious. "Rika!" Renamon said, moving closer to her partner.
