Rika sat, her head leaning against the side of the cave. "there's nothing wrong Davis. I'm just a bit sleepy. It's probably because of this burn. I'll be fine." she said, trying to make him feel better about her safty.

Davis glanced down the dark tunnel and turned his attention back to Rika, "Just rest here," he pulled one knee to his chest. "we can wait for the girl to get back." He tried to keep the slight fright out of his voice. A burn wouldn't do this; and he was pretty sure what would.

Rika leaned against Davis, her eyes starting to droop again. "You should get some rest. You need it more then I do Davis." she said, pulling her knees up to her chin.

Davis huffed, kissing the top of Rika head hotly, "I'm fine," he muttered, resting his cheek in her hair. "stop talking. Sleep." He glared into the darkness, daring something to come out and test patience. Nothing was getting it's hands on her tonight.

"'Kay." Rika murmured, liking Davis' warmth on her arm. She fell into a slight sleep, still slightly aware of what was going on around her.

Davis felt the darkness creeping in on them, but reached over and rested his gloved hand on Rika's farthest knee. The dark retreated and his serious expression didn't change. He glanced down at Rika's peacefull sleeping face. This was not how he imagined himself falling for someone. A girl a few days younger than him, with high-lighted red hair, and dazzeling violet eyes that flashed like fire. Davis closed his eyes and relaxed against the cool cave wall, pressing her closer. An older girl with strawberry blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes had lingered as his dream. Light pink-glossed lips. An hour-glass body; maybe a bit taller than him. Not a hot headed girl with enough stubborness to out-argue even himself. Davis took a deep breath and let it out slowly. You know what? This was better than anything he'd dreamed of. He felt her shoulders rise and fall gently, silently, with soft breathing, up against his chest, and began to slip away. It wasn't just like he got the best he could get. She was just what he needed, and he loved it.

Rika's dream brought her to a room that looked like the one she had been in while Davis went to get the Digimon. The only difference was the fact that this one wasn't full of tamers, it was full of digimon that looked terrified. She couldn't see why they were terrified but something made her cringe a bit. There was something wrong here.

Davis dreamt he was standing in one of the lab rooms, and when he looked over, Rika was standing nearby. He appeared at her side and grabbed her hand, glaring at all the Digimon, daring one to touch them. They didn't. His anger faded at their sad looks. Their mourning hearts; their loneliness seeping into him like water through his clothes. He glanced at Rika in confusion, but couldn't find his voice to speak.

Rika woke up with a start, but didn't move. She closed her eyes again, feeling worse then she did when shee went to sleep. Davis was alsleep beside her, so she decided to see if she could get back to sleep.

Davis was alone sudenly. He groped for Rika, but she was gone. Standing alone, under all those anguishing looks, made his spine tingle. There was definitly something hidden here.

Rika felt Davis tense. She looked up at his face and saw pain there, and worry. "Davis." she whispered, moving so she wasn't leaning against him so much.

Davis's grip tightened on Rika's knee, but not painfully, just to keep her in place. He didn't want her gone when he woke.
Davis felt claws, paws, and noses, nudge him from behind, leading him through the tunnels. He staggered a bit, and fell to his knees, but when he looked up, his eyes widened. There was a giant machine, hidden in the wall, that was beeping and had flashing red lights. Davis was getting really bad vibes from this thing.

Davis's eyes fluttered open and he blinked, "Rika?" He asked, looking down at her.

"I think," he let out a deep breath slowly. "I think I now how to free the tamers and their Digimon."

Rika started and cocked her head to the side. "How?" she asked lacing her fingers through Davis'. His hand was trembling slightly.

Davis sat up and grunted, dropping his head into his free hand, "There's a machine," he started slowly. "hidden in a wall nearby." He lifted his gaze and glanced around, "It has a bunch of weird markings and buttons, but the one we need to press is a small blue triangle. That's what's keeping these tamers in te capsules; and if the tamers are trapped, the digimon might be trying to work for their master's freedom." He turned to Rika and smiled, "Doesn't sound so hard," he squeezed her hand. "what do you say? Should we give it a whirl?"

Rika nodded. It's the only hint we got." she said, rotating her left shoulder a bit.

Davis grinned and stood up, pulling her up with him. "Then lets be off!"

Rika pulled two glow sticks from her pocket and bit one. She placed it in Davis' free hand, then bit the other one, holding it in her own hand. "This tunnel doesn't have any lights." she said, noticing that for the first time.

Davis nodded, furrowing his brow and cracking the glow stick, "Yeah. I wonder why." He held tight to her hand as they walked down the tunnel, studying walls where Davis thought he saw the device. But of course it wasn't that easy. "Where's Elecia?"

"No clue." rika said, just before Elicia popped up in front of them, wearing a totally different outfit. "Sorry." she said.

Davis blinked in suprise, but didn't flinch. He didn't want to look like a retard in front of Rika. "Where've you been?"

Rika flinched, the hair on the back of her neck bristling. "Looking for something." Elicia said, holding out a green digivice.
