Davis smiled. A noise from behind them made him turn around and he grinned as the gang appeared out of the hole, scrambling over to them, "Guys, you made it!" They all collapsed in a circle around Rika and Davis, panting, winded, but excited, "We took down the whole cave!" TK cheered. "And rescued the tamers from the collapsing tunnel," Ken added. "So now we can go home, right?" Asked Yo-Lee as she grabbed Ken's arm. His face turned red. Davis laughed, "Guess so."

Rika smiled as Renamon sat down next to her, lloking rumpled. '' What's up Ren?'" she asked, wrapping her arm around Davis' shoulders. "Nothing Rika.''

Davis smiled and kissed Rika's cheek, closing his eyes and resting his forehead to the side of her head.

Rika loved the feel of Davis' heat near her. Renamon grinned slightly and looked at her Tamer. Rika was usually the one who was alone and angry, but now...now she looked happy.

Ken was talking to Yo-Lee about his family back home when he noticved David out of the corner of his eye. He tapped her shoulder and both of them looked. Soon the whole gang was silent, smiling, watching their friend. Ken chuckled to himself. His fire had burned to a simmer and though he was still adventurous at heart, he was noticably calmer around her. Yo-Lee pressed her shoulder to his and leaned her head on his shoulder, and he blushed as she found his hand and merged their fingers. Maybe there was someone for everyone, but he knew Rika was the one for Davis.

"You guys should rest for now. "i'll make sure nothing gets to the Tamers." Renamon said, standing up and moving to the big group of Tmaers.

Davis smiled as she loped off and rested their joined hands in her lap, "So, is it time for a nap?" He asked, joking lightly. Actually his energy had drained with the sun for some weird reason and he was tired himself now.

Rika tried to not yawn but it came out anyway. "I think so." she said, stretching a bit.

Davis smiled and set her down beside him gently, stretching out on his back with his arms behind his head, "Gosh, it's warm," he said, yawning.

Rika laid her head on her arm. "it's sunny. It's supposed to be warm." she murmured, curling her legs up.

Davis smiled and rested his folded hands on his chest, looking over at her. His eyes were warm and gentle. Hesitant? No. Admiring? Yup. He closed his eyes as the breeze rustled his bangs over his light tan face, and he drifted off in the splotch of sunlight creeping through the tree branches.

The group all gathered around the asleep couple and paired up. Cari sat against the other side of the tree, TK's head on her stomach. Ken and Yo Lee were snuggled against the opposite side together and Cody was curled on his side in the grass beside them. Everyone slept peacefully, their digimon by their sides, in the digital world sunshine.

Renamon watched the Tamers all lay down and fall asleep. She sat down and looked at the feild of grass a bit away from them. All was calm for now.

"Hey, look over there!" Davis's eyelids twitched and he blinked the sun from his eyes as he cracked them open, peering over as two figures loped over the edge of the hill. They looked about his age. "Takuya, stop running. You'll wake them up with your clomping footsteps." Davis sat up as the two approached and hissed at them, "Be quiet! Do you want to wake everybody?!" One of them stopped, but he was sillouetted by the sun, so his outline was all Davis could see. The second had his hands in his pockets as he stopped beside his friend, "Shut up," he snapped. "we just came here to be alone and found a bunch of kids. What are you doing here?" Davis stood bolt-upright and clenched his fists, stalking over to him and getting in his black face, "We are not kids! We just defeated a race of captured digimon being controlled to steal tamer's abilities!" He snorted. "As a matter of fact, you two look like kids yourselves!"

Rika's eyes fluttered open. The first thing she was aware of was a pair of shoes right in front of her face. Rolling on her back, she sat up. She shook her head and looked at the two people that were talking to Davis. "What the hell?" she murmured, almost too low for her own ears.

The second figure bristled, "I'll give you kid-" "Koji!" The first figure shushed his friend, "They were in Gorgamon's black hole. That's where the readings came from." 'Koji' snorted, "Am I supposed to beleive a bunch of new comers could beat all those scientists?" Davis rolled his eyes, "We did, but I bet you're saying that because you couldn't." Koji growled, "Why I outta punch you-" The first figure shoved Koji aside, holding up his hands, "Sorry! Ok, look, we're two digidestined. We left our group back at the camp. Who are you guys?" Davis crossed his arms and huffed, "We're digidestined too," he turned and pointed. "Yo Lee, Cody, TK, Cari and Me." He smiled as Rika sat up and he held out his hand for her, "She just decided to tag along for the ride."

Rika gave Davis a half annoyed, half amused look as she stood up and twined her fingers through his. "I'm Rika and this knuckle head is Davis." she said as Renamon came to her side. "Hey Renamon."

Koji hunched his shoulders and shoved his hands deeper into his pockets, muttering something and kicking at a rock as he trudged back to the camp. Takyua rubbed his head and smiled sheepishly, "Sorry about him, he's been real moody lately. Dunno why," he shrugged. "so, you guys wanna meet our team? We'll be back in a few minutes; your buddies won't be alone long." Davis leaned against Rika's shoulder, "I don't know, what if they wake up and go looking for us? We'd never find all of them." Takuya rfowned, "Ok then, wait here. We'll go get 'em." He grined, waved, and turned, hurrying after Koji.

Rika yawned hugly and shhivered sleep from her face. "Well that was an interesting way to wake up." she commented, smirking at Davis.

Davis laughed and squeezed her hand, "Very," he added. "but who knew? More digidestined!" He looked up at the pinkening sky and frowned, "Maybe we should all go back to the human world soon, it's getting late."

Rika shrugged, "I have no clue. Mom'll mostlikely be worried about me, but she always is." she said. Sitting down, she pulled Davis down next to her.

Davis smiled and yawned, tipping his chin back, "My mom'll be worried sick. And my little brother will probably be crying when I walk out of my room," he grinned. "he's like a six year old water machine."

"Aww, I'm a single kid. Mom worries that i saty out so late." Rika said, squinting at the sunlight. "She's gonna flip when she hears I've taken a fancey to someone."

Davis turned his head and looked at her, "Really? I've always had crushes on the girls at school," he squeezed her hand. "But... none of them matched anything like you." He smiled, "I offered my hand and you took it; that's the best I could have ever asked for."
