"Too bad. Get used to it." Davis released her chin, his hand sparking from touching her skin, and turned back to the battle. Fight fire with fire; where had he heard that before?

Renamon Attacked with another Diamond storm as Leomon came out of the trees. "Where are the humans?" he growled. "Not where you can find them." she said, fireing a Wisteria Punch straight at him, hitting him in the chest.

Rika stepped back and leaned against th boulder, not likeing the tingle on her skin. "I don't think I will." she muttered.

Devi Veemon fought alongside Renamon, throwing blue fire to counter their red, and defending the direction the kids were hidden, "Your fight isn't with them," he shouted. "it's with us!"

Davis narrowed his eyes. What digimon would be looking for humans?

"He's looking for Tamers." Rika said, sounding bored as heck.

Davis didn't look at her, "Why?"

"why do any of them look for Tamers? They want the power we have." she said, sounding nonchalant still. "Renamon, use Diamond storm."

Renamon heard Rika's voice in her mind and she obeyed, making the Leomon fly back into trees.

Davis turned suddenly, grabbing Rika and pushing her out of the range of vision as the monster crashed into the woods beside them. He backed away to her, slowly as to not draw attention to himself, "So what do we do to stop them?" He asked, pressing against her to keep her out of sight, arms on either side of her shoulders and eyes on the hole in the trees.

Rika's eyes closed as she heard tres snap. The next thing she knew, Davis was standing in front of her. "Get rid of the ourselves." she said breathlessly.

Davis pressed her closer to the rock, legs planted firmly, closing in on her to keep to the shadows, "That might be too big a job for two digimon and a couple of teenagers," he muttered, chin burried in the material of his shoulder as he watced their digimon beat up the clan of villans.

Rika's arm was at an odd angle, bent behind her leg, it hurt but she didn't give that away. "We wont be alone. know where we can go to egt some help." she whispered.

Davis took out his digivice and handed it to her, "My friends' numbers are in there. You can contact them; and they'll be here ASAP." He disappeared then, stacking boulders like a fortress around her out of sight of the battle.

Rika took it and got his friends. Then she got out hers and didn't have to send anything but 'hi'.

Davis leapt over a tall rock and landed beside her, not even out of breath from stacking so many rocks, "They on their way?"

Rika shook her head just as a Garurumon jumped over the boulder. "Hey Garu." she muttered, smirking.

Davis was about to say something about Garumon when TK, Cari, YoLee, and Cody appeared over the side of the boulder after him. "Hey guys," he said, looking over them. "We have a new problem. This dude here is sending out more digmon into the real world, and Rika says he wants our tamer ability." All the group exchanged looks and nodded. TK spoke up, "Our digimon are out there fighting too. Lets go see how they're doing." They all hopped up on the tallest boulder and looked down at the battle. The candlemon were gone; runing in the opposite diection, and Davis frowned, "Think we should follow them? To find out where they'rehiding?"

Rika started sprinting after the Candlemon, not caring if she got hurt. Her feet moved silentlyacross the ground, nly barley touching the trees. "Yes." she called back.

Davis groaned and took off after her, "I meant all of us," he called to her angrily. The rest of the group shrugged and darted after the two.

"I'm stuborn, so sue me." she said as Davis caught up to her. Renamon ended up right next to her. Her arm was hurt. "Renamon, you okay?" Rika asked, lookin at her through the corner of her eye. "I'm fine Rika."

Davis smiled as Devi Veemon appeared with the others at their other side, "How strong are they?" He asked. The digimon frowned, "Pretty strong with numbers; not so great in battle."

"Normal. They sendgrunts to try to get us. they really never learn do they?" Rika muttered, hoping over a fallen tree.

Davis nodded, setting his hands on the tree and catcapulting over it. Landing lightly in a crouch, he took off again at light speed after Rika. "They're heading for the island," he said as the candlemon flew ove the body of water seperating them from the digital world's only island.

"Great. I hate swimming." she groaned, pulling out her digivice again as a WarGarurumon came up on her left.

Davis smiled at Rika, grabbing her hand and leaping onto Devi Veemon's back just as he began skirting the water, "Get used to it," he said in her ear as she landed in front of him, repeating himsef.
