The dawn greeted Scarlet warmly, lighting her fur so it looked like fire. She sat up and yawned. She stretched and went to go catch some food for the pack. She would have to be more careful today. Running woke her up enough as she searched for something to catch.

Kiba woke slightly after Scarlet and went about his work, organizing the pack. He went to each and every new couple from last night and found out there were two pregnant females(not suprising) and was thrilled not all the boys he'd raised had rushed into things. Just the ones he'd expected. Wandering over to Toboe and Cheza's cave last, he was suprised to figure out she was pregnant as well.

Scarlet froze as she heard a soft bur from a horse. She looked over and was looking staright at a huge mustand. It didn't have rabies, she could tell by the smell so she pounced, catching part of it's neck between her jaws.

Kiba trotted back to the elder's camp, checking on them before heading back to his spot.

Scarlet walked back to the pack, the mustang's throat in her mouth and the back part of a rabbit. She placed the mustang down for the Elders and brought the rabit for the pups. Looking over, she saw Kiba sitting in his spot. She pranced over, yawning slightly. Her legs were stiff as she walked. "Morning."

Blaze watched as everyone woke up, stretching and yawning. He had kept them up late so he could speak with them. Over in the nursery, he saw his sister with her three pups. She was beaming as she watched then roll around eachother. They had yet to open their eyes, put they still crawled around like little hunters. Shirina walked over to him, eyes hooded with sleep. "Morning Darling. Watching Starr again?" she said, flicking him with her tail. "Yes. Her pups will be strong, just like their mother." Blaze said, shaking his head and looking at the rest of the pack again.

Kiba smiled brightly at her, barking in greeting, "Morning." He waited for her to come closer and sit at his side to speak again, "Toboe and Cheza are pregnant."

"Males can't get peregnant, but i know what you mean. I thought you taught your boys better then that?" Scarlet said, teasing her mate. She stretched again, trying to get her muscles loose.

Kiba laughed, "It's an old term my mother used to use when I was young," he shrugged. "Toboe wasn't my pupil. He was Kashun's; the beta that left seeking new land last month." He grinned, "Only two of my men are rushing themselves of course."

Kiba yawned and stretched, "Nope. It is good to get a head start, though," he said, lying beside her. "then the pups don't have to face a bad winter if we have another like last year. I remember we lost three little ones to that blizzard." He shuddered at the thought of those families greiving for their babies.

Scarlet lowered her head and licked Kiba's muzzle. "That sucked." she muttered.

Kiba smiled, "Yeah, but we have the newly weds to show for it. Natural selection; only the strongest survive." His eyes were sad.

Scarlet watched some of the pups that were now around a year rump around. One of them, the same coloour as her, growled in a way that was anything but playful. "I'll be right back." she told Kiba and walked over. "What's wrong little ones." she asked, nudgeing the red one a bit.

The puppy stuttered a bit as she told Scarlet she stepped on something. "Okay. You alright now?" the puppy nodded. "Good girl." Scarlet walked back over to Kiba.

Kiba cocked his head and sighed. Toboe's pup would be his next pupil, as a beta. Joy. He couldn't help fantisizing about his own pup becoming a beta.

Scarlet laid down next to kiba again, breathing in the sweet smells. Her tailed wagged as she closed her eyes. The breeze blew through her fur delicatly. "It's quiet today." she mutteed.

Kiba smiled at the sky, "Sure is. Maybe it's the calm before the storm," he suggested. "maybe theres a tornado on the way or something."

"Great. I'd rather not think about the weather changing. But I do think the other pack might be thinking about something. That beta didn't seem to think I was trustworthy."she said, nudging Kiba lightly with her nose.

Scarlet giggled a little. "My fur colour probablly. Not many wolves have blood red fur. Most think it's bad."

Kiba nodded slowly, "I'd think not," he said, smiling. "it's unique. Like you. But that doesn't stop people from being supersticious."
