Scarlet growled. She didn't like it. It was like a mixture of pup poop and the elders.

Kiba snarled and thrust his head in the air. His hackles rose as he caught wiff ofthe scent again, throwing his snout in the air and howled a blood-curdling signal howl, signaling the betas and alpha they had a tresspasser. It echoed, deathly deadly, through the trees, and he heard the enemy pause. "Scarlet," he said. "lets go." They took off through the trees running like the wind.

Blaze stopped when he heard the howl. He hadn't even crossed the border, had he? sniffing, he backed up. Tonight was not the night for blood. he sat down, tail wrapped around his legs.

Scarlet's claws made indentions in the grass as she slid to a stop.

Kiba jerked to a stop beside her and growled menacingly, "Who are you, and why are you on our land?"

Blaze's eyes locked on the red wolf. She looked, familiar. 'I'm not here to cause any trouble. excuse me for over stepping my bounds." he said. "I'm Blaze. Pastic's alpha male." he turned and started to walk away.

Scarlet pounced, her teeth gripping the other wolf by the flank. She was a bit taller then him, which gave her a slight advantage.

blaze let out a whimper. Dang her teeth were sharp. a huntress? He flipped quickly, using his back legs to push her off. He landed on his back and rolled back over. Warm blood was seeping into his silver fur. 'I don't want to fight on the full moon." he said, finally realizing where he had seen her. She was the little puppy he had brought back from the river. she was the one that black puppy called Bloodfur.

Kiba looked at Scarlet, "Calm down," he said to her as he lopped up to the stranger. "Blazer, huh? I guess it doesn't matter if you didn't come on purpose, but do you know any rouge, black wolf? He's wandering around the border on alpha orders around here somewhere."

''Ya. Shade, he came to my territory to see if he could hunt while he was here. i said sure. now, so the little red fur doesn't bite my head off, i'm going to return to my pack. tell your alpha I said hello." Blaze said, turning to walk away.

scarlet hadn't moved, but her hackles weren't up so much. Her teeth were a bit red with the other alpha's blood.

Kiba walked over to Scarlet and began licking away the alpha's blood from her coat, "You ok?"

Kiba nuzzled her muzzle, "Lets go back and check on Toboe's grandmother," he said comfortingly. "maybe it'll get your mind off it."

Kiba nodded and they walked over to where the elders were grouped in a circle. He got the attention of one of them - Toboe's grandfather. He looked terribly sad, "My wife," he croaked. "my wife is dead!" He began howling miserably. Kiba was taken aback, "When?" The old wolf took a scraggely breath, "Right before the ceremony. Oooh, my poor wife!" Kiba sat beside him and looked over at Scarlet, "I didn't know. Toboe watched his grandmother die before he went to the ceremony. That's horrible," he said, comforting the old wolf.

Kiba sighed and stood up, "Let him be," he sid over te howling. "he needs to mourn." They left him and went back to where Kiba lived in the pack; just in the trees outside beta territory.

Kiba sat with her and nuzzled her shoulder, "He'll be ok. He's got Cheza now; but imagine if she'd picked a different male? That'd be way worse."
