Ok, here's the thing. Mutio from Deviantart.com absolutely HATED our old Nocturnal Neighborhood roleplay. She was really mad we used her pictures, so I'm respecting her ownership, and I'm going to ask all you guys who were in the old RP to get new pictures of your characters and make up new names, if you still want to RP.

OK now, these new kids live in a dome in Chicago. They're living here with their parents, and they have the chance to leave on their 16th birthday; untl then, you have to either stay where you are, or sneak out. Most die if they sneak out before they turn 16 because of the strict governments. So welcome to the year, 2020!!

Ash sat perched on his bedroom window sill, staring out over the bright city; it was about midnight and his 16th birthday was two days away. He stared into the starless sky and wished away the cold breeze. It was beautiful out tonight

Skylar slid his hands in his pockets, looking out over a small pond finally thawed from the harsh winter before. It was early April; he 10th, and his 16th birthday was nearing. He blinked his deep sea green eyes and sighed. He would miss his family, but his friends were his future.

Leana glided gracefully over the soft grass of the park, not cut for years, and appeared at Sky's side. She leaned her head on his shoulder and gazed out over the sparkling water, "In a few more days," she said quietly. "we'll be out of here and in the world."

Lucia jumped out from her window, laning gracefully on the grass below. Without even standing up completely, she started running. She knew the one person she wanted to see. Ash.

Ash felt a shudder go up his spine and turned sharply to the north, where he frowned and gazed out over the flashing lights, "When the golden day is done. Through the closing portal, child and garden, flower and sun, Vanish all things mortal." He spoike slowly, as if under spell, and shook his head, blinking quickly. What was that? He asked, puzzled. A rustle of grass below his appartment caught his attention and he looked down, black hair swishing in the dark night's breeze.

Lucia looked through the grass, her pure white eyes dancing. Faintly, she heard Ash mutter something that sounded like part of a poem under his breath. She pounced up, using the sills of the burilding to climb up to her friend. "Hey." she said softly. Her dark purple hair was braided down her back, so only part of her bangs wisped into her face.

Ash smiled as Lucia appeared and slid his hands into his pockets, "Hey. What brings you here?" He asked, saphire eyes dancing.

"Got in trouble, again. The Alpha doesn't like the fact that I hang out with you. I don't care though. He can bite his tail for all I care." Lucia replied, perching on the sill next to Ash. "What's up?" the wind blew through her bangs, making her want to run again, but she sat completely still. I'll run when I get home.

Ash chuckled, "Sorry about them, but if they don't like you being with me, why do you keep coming?" He joked, tossing a bit of chocolate at her. Swallowing his own peice, he crossed his arms.

Lucia caught he peice and swollowed it. "Because I don't like being around a lot of wolves all day. They're biased. Vamps are better to hang around then wolves anyway." she said a matter of factly. She pulled her legs out from underneath her and looked out at the night. "But, they don't think so. Geuss I can't blame them. Vampires killed my parents, they just don't want the same thing to happen to me. I've told them you wouln't hurt me, but they don't care." she finished the last part in a whisper that was only audiable to her kind and vampires.

Ash stepped up to her and smiled, pressing his shoulder to her's, "Hey, 's ok. If we know we're ok, then they don't matter."

Lucia gave Ash her mischevious smile and pounced on him. "Ha! Pinned ya." she said playfully, emphisising her words with a growl/pur.

Ash laughed and smiled up at her, "Not every day I get pounced on by a pretty girl," he said in his satiny voice. He reached up, kissing her cheek softly. Then he vanished. As Lucia slid to the ground, he appeared perched on the railing, smile the same, "Not especilly by pretty werewolf girls."

Lucia spun around, her body low in a crouch. "Well, thank you. And it's not every day I get to pounce with out someone thinking I'm going to hurt them." she said jumping onto the railing next to him. She gave him a kiss on the cheek and gripped the railing underneath her so she didn't fall.

Ash smiled crookedly, "How about a visit? My house's been quiet since mom and Gordy left," he said smoothly. "care to come inside"

Lucia nodded. "I'd love to. Besides, I'm in no hurry to get home." she said, jumping down from the railing. Moving too fast for a human to see, she took the hait tie out of her hair and shook out the braid. "That's better." she murmured.

Ash smiled an followed her inside. It wasn't every day he got a visitor, either. He closed the door behind them, gliding over to his black leather and sinking down, "So, what've you been up to?" He asked. It really got lonely; he'd fogotten how much it echoed in the silence here.

Lucia took off the black half-sleeve hoodie she had been wearing and sat next to Ash. "Running like usual" she said, playing with a part of her bangs. "Trying to ignore the fact that tomorrow's my birthday." she looked over at her friend, trying not to get lost in his eyes like usual.

Ash chuckled softly. He recalled his own birthday on it's way as well. Leaning his elbow on the back of the couch, he smiled at her, "That's right it is. We're all turning 16 this month," his smile faded. "and the last day of school is tomorrow, too." He felt excitement whell up in his chest. No one knew what was outside the dome and no one had ever thought to come back, so it must be pretty special. There was fixed fear there as well. Fear for leaving his father and mother and little brother. For leaving his life - to be with an adventuring pack of kids he didn't know - to be outside. He lifted his eyes, catching Lucia's smile and flashing one back. She could always pull out the best in him; for her beauty, he was lucky to have someone like her close to his heart.

"I'll still wait for you to leave with me." Lucia pronised, dropping her bangs quickly. the hair on the back of her neck prickled with a calm that she usually felt around Ash.

Ash settled back and smiled, "Thanks." He knew it was terrifying for his older classmate to leave because he didn't have any friends with him, but he hadn't come back either. That meant either he was with new people... or he was dead.
